Song of the day: great beatles song, great sunday song, great song forever.
Paul wrote this song, in tears, after John told him that he wanted out of the Beatles. (Paul cried so much that day, he had to be driven home almost immediately after writing it.) During the recording of Abbey Road, Paul would try a take early every morning, hoping to get a roughness to his voice, because he thought the song should be sang harshly, to reflect his emotions.
